Machitoshi Kose (巨 (こ) 勢 (せ) 真 (ま) 千 (ち) 年 (とし) , Kose Machitoshi^?) is a supporting character in GHOST FIXERS series.

He's an educator specialized in demihumans. He's the person in charge as well as the person responsible for Karin and Jissei, being their instructor.

Etymology

• The name Machitoshi contains the characters (真 (ま) ma) means "true, reality", (千 (ち) chi) means "thousand" and (年 (とし) toshi) means "year".
• Machitoshi's surname Kose contains the characters (巨 (こ) ko) means "gigantic, big, large" and (勢 (せ) se) means "forces, energy".

Appearance

Machitoshi is a tall person, being the tallest in the office so far, he has long hair in the back as well as a big beard that usually blends in with his hair. He usually wears glasses all the time as well as wearing a formal suit.

Personality

Machitoshi is presented as someone serious, even intimidating, but he is a good person focusing on training demihumans and giving them a chance, he has also shown to trust his subordinates and co-workers.

Background

During his youth he would meet two vampire children named Karin and Jissei who were considered ghosts by the bureau, thinking that they would get rid of them, Machitoshi would accept them as his students and they would be under his care since then.
