Hifumi Kagome (籠 (かご) 目 (め) ひふみ, Kagome Hifumi^?) is the male protagonist of GHOST FIXERS series.

He's a fixer and a survivor of the Fafrotskies incident. It would later be revealed that this fact would cause Hifumi to be considered a temporal anomaly where he should not be alive.

Etymology

• Hifumu's surname Kagome contains the characters (籠 (かご) kago) means "basket, cage, coop" and (目 (め) me) means "eye, experience, favor".

Appearance

Hifumi is young man with short, sleek black hair that frames their face neatly. Their wide, eyes are a vivid blue. He’s dressed in a deep blue uniform with sharp details and metallic buttons. He wears sneakers with a white base and blue accents.

Personality

Hifumi’s behavior is crude and assertive. He often acts stubbornly when people have a differing opinion and he doesn’t like to admit to every being wrong or losing. The reason behind bad personality is because of his job as a Ghost Fixer since only those who can tear through the ghosts' reality distortions are self-centered, egotistical people who have no problem shoving their rules onto others and acting all smug.

New Future

Hifumi is born in Mikurigaoka New Town. In 2027, at the age of 7, Hifumi would leave school with his friends Kanappe and Sho at that moment an abnormal blue rain would begin to affect all the people in the city causing his friends to faint due to side effects of the rain leaving Hifumi alone, at that moment a ghost would appear in front of him being saved by Fuhito Ikaruga who would then try to kill him, at that moment Shiro would save him trying to buy time for Hifumi to escape and reunite with his family. Hifumi would flee being contacted by his mother, while they talked Hifumi would feel that something had happened to Shiro going to the place where she was to find her body, at that moment two more ghosts would try to kill Hifumi who would manifest his primary in addition to inheriting Shiro's Cut-All Blade as his secondary using it to defeat the ghosts, at that moment Hifumi would faint but not before seeing his mother arrive at the place.

Three months later, Hifumi would wake up in the hospital to discover that his friends' memories had been erased to forget the incident, during his stay in the hospital Hifumi would be visited by Reiichiro Amamiya who would try to recruit him upon learning that he was compatible with Shiro's Cut-All Blade, although at first his mother would refuse, Hifumi would insist on becoming a fixer when he turned 14.

Old Future

Before the annihilation of the Correction Bureau, Hifumi would die during the Fafrotskies.

• Moka Kirarazaka: At first, Hifumi hated Moka for being assigned as his partner, which bothered Hifumi because he liked to work alone. Over time, and although Hifumi still dislikes Moka at all, Hifumi would accept her as a partner and a friend, although the two still rival each other from time to time.

• Karin Ibaraki: Hifumi used to think that his former partner Karin was weird for behaving strangely around him (this was because Karin is in love with him), although he appreciates her as well as her brother. During the field trip, Karin would ask him out on a date to which he would accept and so both of them are dating (although Hifumi usually does not give it importance).

Abilities

Primary Gear
	Iron Body: Iron Body can strengthen the body, dramatically increasing both offensive and defensive capabilities.

Steel Daruma: A passive ability of Iron Body, the moment Hifumi is inflicted with fatal damage his body reacts automatically by hardening like steel in an effort to protect itself making him effectively invincible. it only lasts several seconds and Hifumi can’t move due to the hardness of his body.

Secondary Gear
	The Cut-All Blade: The Cut-All Blade is a plastic Blade which was sold in 2011. The Blade was found in some cardboard with "Uncuttable" written on it.

Go Cut-All Blade: Hifumi can use The Cut-All Blade to cut through anything. He can only use it to cut one thing at a time and must put the blade in it’s sheath first before he can use it again.
